This is the homepage of the recitation section for the class "Matroid Theory" at Charles University, with lecturer Ondrej Pangrac. If you wish, visit the lecture's website (somewhat outdated).

The recitation section is held at Wednesday 14:00 at S321, also known as the "KAM lobby 3rd floor".

All the exercises are listed in Czech, as the lecture is taught in Czech.

First session is about the base concepts in matroid theory (circuit,base,hyperplane, independent set).

Second session was about the rank function and duality.

Third session was about minors.

Fourth sesion was about practicing arguments using circuit elimination.

Fifth session was about matroid intersection.

Sixth session was about the base concept of connectivity in matroids.

Seventh session had three exercises about higher connectivity and the rest about the Sudoku matroid.

Eighth session was about representability.

Ninth session was about total unimodularity.

Tenth session was about cycle/cut duality and graphic matroids.

Pass condition

You will get a pass from the recitation simply by active participation. If you could not attend the recitation, please solve the following exercises and email me a PDF with the solutions.

As far as I am aware, a pass is required to attend the exam of the Matroid theory class.
