Prague Midsummer Combinatorial Workshop IX

July 29 - August 2, 2002

First announcement

The workshop continues the tradition of Prague Combinatorial Workshops held since 1993. Oriented on problems of all fields of graph theory, combinatorics and discrete geometry, it will continue in the spirit and informal working atmosphere of the previous meetings. The workshop takes place at DIMATIA and the Department of Applied Mathematics of Charles University which is located in a historic building in the center of Old Prague. For the third time the workshop is also supported by ITI Charles University (Center for Theoretical Computer Science).

The workshop will start on Monday July 29th 2002 at 9am at the department.

A booklet of problems communicated at the workshop will be published in the Department KAM-DIMATIA Series.

The participants will be accommodated in summer hotels Komenskeho and Petrska in walking distance to Prague Castle and the department. The price is 20$ per night for the participants and 25 $ per night for accompanying persons (prices subject to change). These summer hotels provide an inexpensive yet comfortable lodging. At a special request we can reserve rooms in more luxurious hotels in Prague. We will also charge symbolic conference fee of 30$ as a contribution towards the organizational costs and refreshments. This is possible thanks to the partial support of our local grants.

Travel info

All e-mail correspondence concerning the workshop should be directed to Ms. Polisenska.

Due to technical reasons, presentations using transparencies are the most welcome. A dataprojector will be available as well. Unfortunatlely, the usual blackboard doesn't belong among facilities of the lecture hall this time.
